O_O Wow I didn't know about that.
Well, I'm doing this research report for my language arts class and my topic is music lyrics. I'm basicially taking a side on whether the lyrics have any bad effects on those who listen, especially the youth and teens. From all of the research I've found(which was a lot.), said that it links to things like violence, premature sex, drugs, and other changes in behavior. It might be true for some lyrics but not all. Although, I will agree that as a teen myself, many teens and youth do use music as another way to describe their personality or "shape it". I know I have. Music is seen as an essential to a young person's everyday life. The average teen listens to 40 hours a of music per week. =/ A couple of the leading genres are hip-hop and rock. These genres are the main ones blamed for corruption of young minds because of how explicit some are. I won't say that's not true based on witnessing it. But what pulls people in is the catchy beats and rhythms in the songs and the music industry takes advanatge of it, aiming their music at the younger minds. It's fascinating, really. It makes me question why I even I like some of the music I do.

Hi ppl! :D
I'm actually pretty loud for a girl who stays quiet in class. Well, I started a blog as you can see. I'm probably not going to write about much and maybe a couple poems but maybe not. By the way, check out my friend Teale's blog. She's an awesome poet and her views to me seem really down to earth. I think it's because I can see where she's coming from. She's a very real person. http://itstealelove.blogspot.com/
